Yay, a photo of Lovely Lovely James Sutton's first post-'Oaks TV role as Eli, a narcoleptic, in the 13th December episode of Casualty.

DigitalSpy also have a summary of his storyline, which seems to mainly involve him walking around and collapsing. I'm suspecting it might not overtake My Own Private Idaho in terms of imaginative portrayals of the condition, but at least JS can act so he should be good at the falling over. Or in any case I hope so, since he'll obviously have to do quite a lot of it.

What on earth's going on with his shoes though? Are we sure the character's narcoleptic and not just tripping over his own footwear?

He IS lovely, isn't he? (You know, except for my #1 crush, and maybe his on screen sidekick, all these younger guys I now think are hot are pretty much all your fault for pointing them out to me).

Then my work here is done.

(And the sidekick is looking good at the moment isn't he? I'm not sure what it says about me that I prefer him covered in fake blood.)

Well if he wants to be on stage in the West End he has to be in one or the other, or else how will the audience be able to look through the programme and play Casualty/Bill Bingo?

That would be a worry, I can just about cope with an episode of casualty, but I'm really not sure how I'll get on if I have to start watching The Bill!

Well hopefully if he does go for the double it'll be another guest appearance - he does want to play villains after all.

At least it's keeping him in this country - I recently read an interview where he uttered the dreaded words "go out to LA for a bit." I'm sure Hollyoaks employs a hypnotist to convince anyone who leaves the show that this is actually a good idea.

Oh for goodness sake......does he not realise he just doesn't have the right sort of skin for the LA sun?? Boiled lobster is so not a good look.
I suppose I can see the attraction after a couple of years in Liverpool, but ffs...just take a holiday, don't try and work there - remember it is but a short step from "going to LA" to a booking on Celebrity Love Island - hasn't the spectre of Paul Danan taught them anything??

That's why I wonder if there's hypnosis at work, surely they'd have noticed by now it's not a great plan - and only a little while ago he was excited about getting back into theatre.

Of course there's always the possibility that when Guy Burnet came back he told him that OK, he didn't get work but he had a great time anyway. But the supernatural solution is obviously the more plausible one.
