Last week I posted here about some of the upcoming TV shows I'm looking forward to. (Incidentally the first episode of Lost in Austen turned out to be, if not a classic, better than I expected, it's worth a look although probably only if you're familiar with Pride and Prejudice - but then who isn't?) Now we have start dates for some more: Billie Piper will be whoring it up again from this Thursday, Merlin is due on Saturday the 20th, and the second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures starts on Monday the 29th. Warning: The following trailer may make dave_rc wet himself with excitement.
Actually that trailer's double trouble for Dave: Not only is it SJA, but it focuses on Clyde, and Dave fancies him (and who can blame him?) It's worth pointing out that there's nothing wrong with that, Daniel Anthony is much older than the character he plays and has been legal for several years. However, having read some of the comments on "the internet" when the Doctor Who episode "Journey's End" aired, I think it's only polite to say that in Luke's case you might want to give him another six months or so if you'd like to avoid incarceration, kthanx.
Anyway, the trailer: Basically, apart from the lack of Maria, yay! Sontarans! Evil clowns! Seriously, is anything more evil than clowns? Even the ones that aren't meant to be evil are terrifying. Apparently the new girl is called Rani. Which, let's face it, didn't happen by accident1. Is it (a) a tongue-in-cheek nod to the original run of Doctor Who, (b) a CLUE about something massive or (c) a red herring to get everyone on the internet into a froth, thinking it's a CLUE about something massive? Only time will tell. But let's face it, it's almost certainly (c). I just hope she can act.
PS - We already know the episode titles: "The Last Sontaran" "Day of the Clown" "Secrets of the Stars" "The Mark of the Berserker" "The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith" (now that sounds interesting) "Enemy of the Bane"
