Right then, just the one Something Nice For Friday today, because I used up everything else by having an extra "Friday" post on Sunday. Actually two things, if you count another bit of exciting theatre news - even though it affects almost nobody else reading this, and is nearly a year away: Eddie Redmayne will play Richard II at the Donmar in December. I can only assume that when I walked past him in the street last week, there was some psychic transference which has led to this. Obviously mind-reading can be flawed, so while I might have thought something like "I'd like to see your Richard," this isn't exactly what I meant, but it'll do. And as for the article I linked to, yes I do rather like Jude Law as a stage actor but everyone else will be going on about him, so I'm just being different and focusing on Mr Redmayne instead.

Anyway, pictures And That. It was only a few months ago that I was posting photos of partially- (or not at all) clothed McFly members from Attitude magazine and now it's happening again. Yes, Attitude have done a sequel because the last one sold spectacularly well was such an important cultural landmark. And because Harry rather stole the show that time, he gets a solo shoot this time.

And one of the photos from inside the magazine

Plus they've done a behind-the-scenes YouTube video of the photoshoot, which was nice of them:

Have a good weekend, humans! And stop that, you'll go blind.

I still say the double-standard is just plain crazy. Out of curiousity, does the "blind" myth supposedly apply to girls as well?

I don't know though, I mean I know the people who do these kinds of naked photoshoots aren't usually huge stars, but they're celebrities to some degree anyway. I know there's more of a history of women taking their clothes off in magazines but apart from the occasional female celebrity who runs out of cash and does Playboy I don't think there's a lot of instances where relatively famous women do show that much more than the men. I don't know about the US, but over here the nearest is probably when soap starlets often do sexy underwear shoots for Nuts and Zoo magazines but it's not like they're flashing the gash. I'm not even aware of a female equivalent of the Attitude/Gay Times/Cosmo "charity" naked shoots of men. Not that I'll complain if and when these shoots of the boys start showing more but if anything I think they probably show more actual flesh than the girls.

I'm the wrong person to ask, you'd have to find out if any women got told it when they were growing up!

V. excited about Eddie in Richard II. He's one of my very favourites, and not just for his ridiculous mouth and cheekbones. Honest.

Over the years, Tom has turned into my favourite McFly, somehow. I'm not sure why -- he just has the nicest nose.

Good old Attitude. I'll never not love them for doing the bare bum History Boys feature. Happy times.

He's an odd one for me - I've never once seen a photo of him or seen him on screen when I've found him remotely attractive. The Jagger-lips just don't do it for me. Whereas in person I totally would. And it's not just an "attracted to talent" thing when he's acting on stage because on the couple of occasions I've seen him in the street I've still been attracted to him.

I think he sometimes photographs like a dream, and at other times not at all. His voice does things to me, though.
