Land of the Gaius

First of all, in the unlikely event that anyone was wondering, no I once again won't be doing roundups of Young Apprentice - between all the theatre and TV I already write about, it'd just end up being half-hearted. And speaking of half-hearted reviews, I'd better do a quick Merlin post before I forget.

I'm quite amused by the fact that "Aithusa" doesn't have a "previously on Merlin" at the start. No of course not, if anyone missed last week's episode it's not like they missed the first killing-off of a regular in the show's three years, or Arthur getting crowned King. Anyway obviously the main thing about this week's episode is that it guest-stars Battlestar Galactica's James Callis, and he has scenes with Richard Wilson, so that will have been confusing."Gaius?" "What?" "No not you, I meant Gaius." "What?" "No not you..." ETC. This episode also featured the writers remembering that Merlin is The Last Dragonlord, and Sir Leon got some actual dialogue, with real, audible words and everything.

SOSSERY! count nil.

GAYWATCH! Merlin makes Arthur's trousers fall down. Coincidentally, if I had almost limitless magical powers, this would also result in Bradley James being parted from his pants, although some of the details might differ.
